Our management team has a long track record of operational excellence and a proven ability to acquire and integrate complementary businesses. They help to foster SunGard’s entrepreneurial culture and are highly committed to the company’s long-term goals.

  • Cristóbal Conde Cristóbal Conde president and chief executive officer

    Cristóbal Conde is SunGard’s president and chief executive officer, and a member of its board of directors. He was elected chief executive officer in 2002 and has been a board member since 1999. Mr. Conde served as chief operating officer between 1999 and 2002 and previously headed up SunGard’s Trading Systems division, which he started in 1990. Prior to joining SunGard, Mr. Conde co-founded Devon Systems International, Inc., which was acquired by SunGard in 1987. At the time, Devon focused on providing systems for the interest rate and currency derivatives markets. Born in Santiago, Chile, Mr. Conde is a U.S. citizen and holds a BS in Astronomy and Physics from Yale University.

  • Robert Woods Robert Woods chief financial officer

    Robert Woods has been SunGard’s chief financial officer since January 2010. Before joining SunGard, Mr. Woods was chief financial officer of IKON Office Solutions from 2004 to 2009.  Previously, he served as vice president and controller; and vice president and treasurer at IBM Corporation; and vice president, finance for IBM Asia-Pacific.  Mr. Woods began his career at Deloitte, Haskins & Sells and went on to hold various positions in tax, treasury, accounting and finance at DuPont.  Mr. Woods is a certified public accountant and holds a BS in Accounting from Villanova University and an MBA from Widener University.

  • Till Guldimann Till Guldimann vice chairman

    Till Guldimann is SunGard's vice chairman. His focus is on strategy. He was previously vice chairman of Infinity Financial Technology, before it was acquired by SunGard in 1998. Mr. Guldimann joined Infinity in 1995 after a 21-year career with J.P. Morgan where he last headed the Global Research Group and developed the bank's market risk management systems. He is also the originator of J.P. Morgan's highly successful RiskMetrics(tm) initiative launched in 1994. Mr. Guldimann, a Swiss national, earned an MBA from the Harvard Business School in 1974 and a Dipl. El. Ing. from the ETH in Zurich, 1971.

  • Jim Ashton Jim Ashton division chief executive officer, Financial Systems

    Jim Ashton has been division chief executive officer, Financial Systems, since April 2007. Mr. Ashton was group chief executive officer, SunGard Trading, Treasury & Risk Management from 2005 to April 2007. Mr. Ashton served as group chief executive officer, SunGard Trading and Risk Systems from 1999 to 2005 and group chief executive officer, SunGard Treasury Systems from 2003 to 2005. From 1997 to 1999, he served as senior vice president and general manager of a wealth management systems business that we acquired in 1997.

  • Harold Finders Harold Finders division chief executive officer, Financial Systems

    Harold Finders has been division chief executive officer, Financial Systems, since April 2007. Mr. Finders was group chief executive officer, SunGard Europe from 2005 to April 2007. From 2001 to 2005, Mr. Finders headed the SunGard Investment Management Systems businesses based in Europe. From 1996 to 2001, he held various senior management positions with us overseeing a number of our European financial systems businesses. Mr. Finders headed a Geneva-based wealth management systems business that we acquired in 1996.

  • Ron Lang Ron Lang chief executive officer, Higher Education

    Ron Lang has been chief executive officer, SunGard Higher Education, since January 2009.  Mr. Lang was chief executive officer of SunGard’s Enterprise Solutions Group from 2005 to 2008 and was responsible for SunGard’s global delivery, global account management, consulting services and software-as-a-service initiatives.  From 2000 to 2005, Mr. Lang was group chief executive officer of SunGard Trading Systems and also was responsible for SunGard Brokerage Systems and SunGard Financial Networks.  Mr. Lang was vice president of marketing from 1997 to 1998 and president from 1998 to 2000 of a trading and risk systems business that we acquired in 1998.

  • Karen Mullane Karen Mullane vice president and controller

    Karen Mullane has been vice president and controller since 2006, vice president and director of SEC Reporting from 2005 to 2006, director of SEC Reporting from 2004 to 2005 and manager of SEC Reporting from 1999 to 2004. From 1997 to 1999, she was vice president of Finance at NextLink Communications of Pennsylvania and, from 1994 to 1997, she was director of Finance at EMI Communications. Ms. Mullane is a director and/or officer of most of our domestic subsidiaries.

  • Brian Robins Brian Robins senior vice president and chief marketing officer

    Brian Robins has been senior vice president, chief marketing officer since January 2005. From 2003 to 2005, he was senior vice president, corporate marketing and was vice president, corporate marketing from 2000 to 2003. From 1995 to 2000, Mr. Robins held various marketing positions, including vice president, marketing, with a trading and risk systems business that we acquired in 1998.

  • Gil Santos Gil Santos chief executive officer, Public Sector

    Gil Santos has been group chief executive officer, SunGard Public Sector since January 2007. Mr. Santos held various senior executive positions, including most recently president and chief executive officer, with a business that we acquired in 2003 and that he joined in 1998. From 1983 to 1998, Mr. Santos held various executive positions at Motorola, Inc., including Director of the Public Sector Solutions Division and Land Mobile Sector Strategy Office.

  • Victoria Silbey Victoria Silbey senior vice president, legal and general counsel

    Victoria Silbey has been senior vice president, legal and general counsel since 2006 and vice president, legal and general counsel from 2005 to 2006. From 1997 to 2005, Ms. Silbey held various legal positions with us, including vice president, legal and assistant general counsel from 2004 to 2005. From 1991 to 1997, she was a lawyer with Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, Philadelphia. Ms. Silbey is a director and officer of most of our domestic and foreign subsidiaries.

  • Andrew Stern chief executive officer, Availability Services

    Andrew Stern has been chief executive officer, SunGard Availability Services, since June 2010. Before joining SunGard, Mr. Stern was chairman and chief executive officer of USinternetworking Inc. (USi), an application service provider that was acquired by AT&T in 2006. Subsequently, he led AT&T’s hosting and application services business. Earlier in his career he was a partner with Booz, Allen & Hamilton, an international management and technology consulting firm, and also was executive vice president, strategic planning at insurer USF&G Corporation. Mr. Stern holds a BS in electrical engineering and computer science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an MBA from the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business.

  • Richard Tarbox Richard Tarbox senior vice president, corporate development

    Richard Tarbox has been responsible for the execution of our acquisition strategy since 1987.  Prior to joining SunGard he was with Coopers & Lybrand LLP, providing consulting services in the areas of acquisitions, troubled companies and litigation support.

  • Kathleen Asser Weslock Kathleen Weslock senior vice president, human resources and chief human resources officer

    Kathleen Weslock has been senior vice president, human resources and chief human resources officer since November 2006. From 2005 to 2006, Ms. Weslock was head of Human Resources at Deloitte Financial Services LLP, and from 2001 to 2005 she was director of Global Human Resources for Shearman & Sterling LLP, an international law firm. Ms. Weslock has over twenty years of human resources experience as both a consultant and a practitioner.
