Nicholas Brewer is vice president of global banking solutions for SunGard’s Banks business. With more than 20 years experience in the financial and banking sector, Mr. Brewer has held various positions within banking operations, including in the Middle East. He has also served in many roles within IT organizations serving the banking sector, including in the design of trading and middle-office systems.
Nicholas Brewer is responsible for the go-to-market strategy of SunGard’s Ambit banking solutions. With his extensive knowledge of the banking industry, he helps ensure that SunGard customers get the most out of their core banking applications. Mr. Brewer focuses on innovation and driving SunGard’s transformation of its Ambit solution suite onto SunGard’s Infinity Process Platform so as to deliver an agile solution to our customers that is aligned with their existing technology and business priorities.
Commentary
The banking industry has always been an early adopter of innovation. As the operating environment becomes more challenging, many banks will look to IT to achieve their operational objectives and help them remain competitive. SOA-enabled, component based, and process-driven solutions are being touted as a possible avenue to help banks apply the agility required to adapt to a constantly evolving environment by streamlining processes, and improving efficiency throughout the enterprise.
