Peter Banham is senior vice president and head of marketing and strategy for SunGard’s capital markets and investment banking business. In this role, he is responsible for expanding SunGard’s capital markets and investment banking product portfolio as well as communicating strategy to customers and partners. Mr. Banham has more than 13 years of experience in capital markets and held a number of senior positions with major international financial institutions prior to joining SunGard.
Commentary
The capital markets for equities, debt, foreign exchange and derivatives are the hubs of the trading world. Financial institutions active in these areas need effective and flexible technology solutions to support proprietary and client trading activities. This means adopting technologies that span cross-asset trading, market and credit risk management, securities finance, structured products, prime brokerage, market linkage, repo trading and back-office processing. Financial institutions need to foster strong vendor relationships to help them anticipate future challenges and trends and sustain business growth.
