SunGard Acquires Performance Pathways Inc.

SunGard has acquired Performance Pathways Inc., a leading provider of instructional management software for K-12 school districts. Performance Pathways will become part of SunGard Public Sector’s K-12 Education business unit. The transaction, the terms of which were not disclosed, is not expected to have a material impact on SunGard’s financial results.
Performance Pathways software allows teachers and administrators to access and use curriculum and assessment information to manage instruction and make data-informed decisions to help improve student achievement. The products will extend SunGard Public Sector’s PLUS Solutions integrated product suite offered to K-12 school districts.

Performance Pathways offers a full cycle of instructional management solutions with proven performance and brings a team with strong domain knowledge to SunGard Public Sector,” said Frank Lavelle, president of SunGard Public Sector’s K-12 business unit.
The PLUS Solutions integrated product line currently includes a Web-based student information system, special education management and fund-accounting-based financial and human resources solutions.
